my theory of holmes is that she has no real relationship to truth. this is a very common trait among many successful people; once you start noticing it, it's everywhere. fielder interpreted holmes as being overly literal because he is on the spectrum and that was a relatable read, but he's wrong

there are certain people who, through sheer will, can morph the world around them to fit their desires. holmes was one of those people until she wasn't. she does not understand herself to have lied because she does not have a proper distinction between desire and reality
