Here is one nice little snippet from the book, which says 'thank you to Lucy Rycroft-Smith who worked on the book and pointed this out [ideas of chosen family]. She also noted that..stamm contains 'am' which is the Latin root that is found in 'amigo' as in friend and 'amare' as in love.'

My two daughters are adopted. I’m their mother but ‘biology’ has been used to try and discredit me as a mother. To try and make me feel ‘less’. I’m their ‘real’ mother because I raised them, loved them. I love my trans daughter and my cis daughter. We are all ‘real’. I send all my love too.
