Publicly Defence is always discussed in terms of inputs - how much we spend, or in terms of manufacturing jobs, rather than what the forces can actually do. It appears nobody sees this as a problem 🤷♂️

Any fool could have anticipated the possible reelection of Trump and the resulting chaos in shifting world allegiances, which is why it was very sensible policy to double down with AUKUS and suck up to guys who see us as a landing strip with a quarry but who couldn't care less if we lived or died.
