I'm pretty strongly of the opinion that people trying to do vigilante "Guarding our Steam store" stuff are doing more harm than good as it is. Forced disclosure and filtering is the way to go. Greenlight was a disaster and a popularity contest.

A slightly better solution would be requiring proper, itemized AI disclosure and suspension/removal for improperly using the system, combined with options to filter stuff out. But I am fully aware that would still be very imperfect. But at least Chad Who Hates Visual Novels won't be in charge again

Okay, I know the flood of AI trash is a problem on Steam, but the solution is not 'Bring back Greenlight'. Greenlight was a clusterfuck. The worst of both worlds. Bad crowdsourcing plus Valve used it to arbitrarily block a lot of great games based on the company's own random black box whims.

Most of the AI garbage is incredibly obvious. Proudly so, even. It's like asking how I avoid hitting traffic cones while driving.
