I got fired from a gas station job when I was a teenager because I had done *everything* I needed to do, nobody was in the store, so I was sitting on a step stool. Assistant manager wanders in drunk off-duty and is pissed about it. Hours cut two weeks later.

I worked at a (now defunct hah) retail chain where the policy was to not allow any stools even in the storage room because it would make us lazy. We say down on the displays because fuck that noise actually.
