Since inflation is up, can I put in a plug for the poorly named TVP (textured vegetable protein) ? Very cheap, perfectly shelf stable, easy to work with. It's a byproduct of soybean oil production and much more environmentally friendly than real meat. It tastes like whatever flavors you add.

PBL that is just "go make a poster" and DI that is a lecture that an AI vocalization model can create are both bad teaching. Each tool is valuable when done well, by competent teachers, who have discretion on how to tailor assessment and instruction to the particular goals of the class.
