You left out an essential point. The reason so many are focused on this issue is because the Democrat-hating far left has chosen it as its cause du jour. Just like TPP, they don’t really understand it, and never cared about it before, and will move on to something else to help Republicans win.

It’s obviously true that not every claim of antisemitism is a good claim, and we need to be able to talk about that. But if our only move in that conversation is “there go the Jews, lying again” like some Fox News host going off on “Al Sharpton race hustlers”, this is the expected result.
