Yeah, sorta. WSJ said Anthropic's internal documents showed operating profits, which means they would be making a profit if they weren't expanding. That's investment, not cost, and is considered a healthy indicator for Anthropic.

But we can speculate that their massive capital commitments are a risky gamble given the likely AI bubble, but that's a future risk and says nothing about present-day profitability. For that to bankrupt them the bubble would have to burst.
