Big 'Un, naturally more shy and awkward, threw herself in too. Seeing her get joy from letting loose and embracing the silly was arguably even more heartening. But having two kids who will let rip at a wedding feels like a major success, even if they fight each other out of tiredness later.

I've got a video of her dancing uninhibited, a multi-coloured glow stick in each hand and an enormous grin on her face, and fear this may be the last time I remember her as little. Having an obvious transition point from kid to sassy young lady, though, feels worth holding on to.

My brother got married yesterday. Little 'Un was a bridesmaid and an absolute dynamo, forcing everyone onto the the dancefloor and gathering an army of random middle-aged men who would vow to fight for her until the end of the earth.
