It not only trains your brain so that your knee-jerk reaction to fuck ups is to look for the fix, it also reframes (good faith) critique as an act of care. If we hadn't been a pastor's family, I'd probably be pretty well-adjusted today. 😂
Show PostThe biggest blessing of my childhood is that I grew up with "here's how we fix this" parents and not "aw, it's okay" parents. Fucked up all my serves in the volleyball game? Dad takes me to the church gym to practice. Gave mom one of my WIPs to critique? Got actual critique partner level response.
