to me the existential threat posed by AI slop games is less "AI slop games will steal our sales" and more "the onslaught of AI slop and the exhaustion over having to second guess every new game will make people mentally check out from supporting new games at all and retreat to their backlogs"

Steam needs to allow some sort of filter for genai, with human moderation for false positive reports. The disclosure is not enough and we've already seen many games that just lie about it. Also the removal of "how a game was made" from the tags was incredibly stupid and narrow sighted...
