This is why University Presidents and the like insist we need to hear speech that’s “hurtful” as if our willingness to absorb violence and hate is somehow a sign of enlightenment.

Thing is the people who constantly argue we need to “engage” with the conservatives know that my existence is a provocation for them and they constantly try to police how Black people show up in order to minimize the response from conservatives.
