Moving the Purple Line onto the Red Line south of Addison also eliminates all conflicts between Red/Purple and Brown on the North Side Main Line, freeing up more capacity for more Brown Line service (and a future Tiger Line).

This concept would allow the CTA to run an all-day Purple Line service through the State Street Subway and down to 95th-Chicago State MED, which allows all Red Line trains to serve 130th while better balancing passenger loads on the busiest parts of the Red Line.
