That makes sense... but I don't know what I would *do* differently. Either way I'm treating the cause, maybe giving bicarb, trying not to interfere with the respiratory alkalosis

(Perhaps I wasn't clear above - I meant if there's a discrepancy between the two methods, does it matter which one I believe is "true", either way I've got a severe metabolic acidosis which needs urgent management)

#cardiosky Measuring LVOT velocities should be done above the acceleration zone, using functional, not anatomical assessment. The LVOT signal for the cw signal will always show the accelerated velocities, the convergent zone having higher intensity, and cannot be used for LVOT velocities.
