and then BADGERING HX over his identity and why he never introduced them (HX and HC were college roommates and now grudging friends) and XL is running around the reception trying to put out fires until HC approaches him with a drink (non alcoholic) and they spend the rest of the night-

Long awaited beefleaf wedding— XL being HX’s best man (i like them being buddies sue me) and HC isn’t in the wedding party because he’s too busy to reliably be counted on making it (terrible at prioritizing relationships over work) and he spends the entire wedding staring at the best man
