Shane Gillis doesn't spend his time observing the world and trying to package it's absurdity into set-up/punchline. He starts with a premise (e.g., I look funny) and then builds his mannerisms (gestures, tone) to signal that this is where you should laugh. It's not really comedy as we understand it.

It is precisely the very worst kind of low-effort joke telling where you flail around, do voice inflections to intimate a punchline, and say something offensive in a "can you believe I'm getting away with it" tone that exemplifies what 'comedy' is in 2026. It's not even really designed to be funny.
