Mind you Fishman Island was about Jinbe not exactly knowing what the 'correct' solution for Fishman were - but was still a showing that political papers wouldn't be pushed without a form of violent rebellion, and violence wouldn't be stopped until new policies were implemented.

On top of that, Otohime's paper pushing was shown as the more passive and inherently weaker solution on its own that couldn't save struggling Fishmen right away - unlike Fisher Tiger's proactive rebellion. But, you know, food for thought!

Yes exactly! He didn’t get to the point where he could really step into his own until he told off his family/ showed them he didn’t need them or want them, no fear. After wano, he was able to put everything to rest and stop being in competition with Zoro and instead embody rivalry and true strength

Zoro has shown his strength pretty much since Baratie when he vowed not to lose again after Mihawk, Sanji got super serious after Wano so it tracks that he would learn he also possesses CH (he figured out skywalk!)— I super agree w/all your points even re: pwr scaling (my disaster zone being reddit)
