The success of anti-bike lane panic seeded and spread by the far-right think tanks backed by Koch Industries (think Heritage Fdn.) is something to behold. Hopefully people wake the fuck up. stop enabling politicians and useful idiots who think bikes are the cause of all the world's problems.

In the 70s in Kerrisdale, my dad tried the same (no luck). All East/West running "Avenues" had curbs, sidewalks,and lights. As the pic shows, most North/South "Streets", w/out facing lots, had none. Lane easements yes, but few built. With only single-family lots, little demand for change.
