First of all, for many years now, sip valves have existed. They are set into a mask like an n95, and allow you to drink through a straw. Second of all, some bars have patios or outdoor sections , where some people who mask indoors feel comfortable removing them.

And finally, people who mask, are often disabled, immunocompromised or chronically ill, are allowed to socialize. We are allowed to meet our friends out and not risk our lives. That’s what you told us to do, right? Get on with life? Not live in fear?
