@baileyannej.bsky.socialWell, turns out this was my last story for The Washington Post, 2,011 bylines later. For nine years, it was a dream in every sense of the word, no matter how many of the company's leaders tried to make it otherwise. Thanks for being part of the ride.
Show PostIt was such a joy to work in @postsports.bsky.social. Just an absolute gift. I was so so so lucky to have been a part of this place, and so so so lucky to work with these lovely, kind, clever, incredible people. This was the dream. (uh also If you need an editor, please do holler.)
Show PostThe axe may be falling on the entire Washington Post sports department today or tomorrow. If/when you hear the official report, send our old friend @baileyannej.bsky.social good wishes and pour out a few cases of 40s for all.
Show PostThe Blackhawks' brass quartet just played T.A.T.U.'s "All The Things She Said" on Pride Night. At least somebody here watched Heated Rivalry. Baffling how little the league is doing to capitalize on a true cultural phenomenon in a sport that's always looking for one.
Show PostI truly cannot imagine watching the videos from today and honestly thinking that man deserved to die. I do not know how that could be anyone's interpretation, unless you think anyone who disagrees with you doesn't actually have a right to be alive.
