Phew! With a lot of blood, sweat, and tears over the years, we introduce a new way of thinking about thermal performance curves in endotherms. We propose that thermal imbalance, quantified using net sensible heat flux, provides a helpful axis for predicting performance. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

Yesterday the Australian Research Council failed to meet its own deadline for releasing Industrial Transformation grants (~$65m). Apps closed nearly a year ago! But they also didn't bother letting anyone know. For a national research funder, they sure don't seem to care much about researchers.
