So it's more subconsciously useful to me for if the author intends to write multiple books. (I'm more of a back blurb/synopsis person, whatever content happens in the book is just part of the ride.)

I personally don't need them nor does it influence my reading, but when I DO see them, I end up with a slightly higher opinion of the author because they're taking the time to make sure the act of reading (or NOT reading) their book is a good experience for a reader who does need/use them.

Day One of our great DMV expedition. We are determined to reach the mythical "front of the line." So many have died attempting the same We have hired local guides, several horses, and bought supplies for three months. Hopefully it will be enough. Caruthers is in high spirits. Baker, less so.
