Been playing the Switch 2 post of Romancing SaGa 2 and it's really fun? The simulationism is something unseen in most JRPGs. It seems like any character can eventually die permanently, if they get knocked out enough times. The hardest difficulty level is that of the Super Famicom original.

I want to go down that road. I remember when I got my N64 I thought it would be filled with amazing JRPGs because the SNES had so many and that was just "what Nintendo did" (or so I thought). I think I traded it in for a PS1 less than a year later.
