Literally why I'm just starting my own small business revolving around cutesy animals that lean into anime via the expressions & linework but ultimately has like, Steven Universe & Disney rooted in it lol That 2000s/2010s 6-11 audience style just isn't getting made any more by the big companies

And no one who hasn't worked on a production will never realize this but blame the team and NOT the people in charge of the studios. The people who make the show are the scapegoats while the fat cats who force the horrible choices and business practices on the team are absolved in the public's eyes
