Was taught by Douglas Dunn at St Andrews and wrote a bit about this in my recent book. To this day I always start my CW year the same way he did. A great poet, and teacher. Requiescat in Pace.

While the old men who drink too much are the ones remembered and referred to from hostels, it is the young who have my sympathy, driven from home by an unsympathetic step-parent, with few funds to survive on. There was once Conexxions to look after them but now?
