Of course he could not have known the depths of gratitude that that “thank you” was meant to convey. Thank you, David Lynch. What a legacy he leaves behind. All my love to his family and creative collaborators and those who loved him.
Show PostTwo years later Heavenly Creatures premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Unbelievably, I got to meet David Lynch, who was the head of the jury that year. He summoned me over to where he was sitting in a tall and beautiful chair. He was so gentle & kind. All I could say was “thank you”
Show PostSuch sad news about David Lynch. The greatest of the greats. At the age of 14 I rented his films from our local video store over and over again. I still remember that buzzy, electric feeling of being inspired to the depths of my soul and feeling like anything was possible if these films existed.
