I had to look and in fact he is credited as one of the directors along with Nicholas Colasanto and Peter Falk.
Show PostIt's true that he was distracted by the belly dancers in Try and Catch Me too, but I think McGoohan just encouraged him to play it up more. Columbo being weirdly delighted to decide "She's shy!" at the end of that scene for example. McGoohan episodes just seemed to have more odd moments like that.
Show PostRest in peace Rob Garrison. You may recognize him from The Karate Kid where he played on of the Cobra Kai, but in 1989 he had a modest role as one of the assistants at the Anneman Institute in "Columbo Goes to the Guillotine". #Columbo buff.ly/gtpZzTY

If you've finished Columbo and want another delightful How Catch 'Em you simply must watch Furuhata Ninzaburo. Amazing music, great pacing, and really funny but small comedy moments.
