In the day of the 'news groups' there was a constant stream of stupid things newbies rang up for help on. Most of it was thinking the CD tray was for for their mug of coffee but most answers consisted of turn the PC off, put the plug in and switch on again. Google bought all up and destroyed 'em.👵😢

the "esc" key on a keyboard is a holdover from early-'90s personal computers. on some models it would dispense a can of escargot out of one of the unused drive bays. they put it in the corner so you wouldn't press it by accident because you only got three of them. i pushed it once and got grounded
