been thinking about how hippie 60's counter-culture celebrated things that felt sort of whimsical or irrational as a way of breaking out of an oppressive existing orthodoxy. ofc that eventually gave way to meaningless excess... but it makes me wonder if we'll have another big counter-culture wave
