The tree being cut down today started growing before the pyramids were built. Before the Roman Empire. Before written history. We aren’t just "logging timber." We are executing beings that have survived millennia, simply because they can’t run. 1% of original old-growth remains. Protect it. 🌿
Show PostFuture generations won’t believe these trees existed. They will read about 1,500-year-old cedars and 2,000-year-old redwoods and think we made them up—like dragons or griffins. But right now, we have the chance to make sure the story ends differently. Don’t let the last ancients become myths.
Show PostGreed doesn't just destroy forests. It murders millennia-old beings that can't run or fight back. Less than 5% of the world’s old-growth forests remain intact. We are on the verge of telling our children that giants once walked the Earth,as if it were a fairy tale. It isn’t fantasy. It’s our reality.

I got the rejection email today. I didn't have any luck with the Australian Geographic photo comp this year. No need for sympathy. I'm used to it. It's very competitive. Here's one of my unsuccessful entries. A yellow-tailed rock wallaby at Boolcoomatta Reserve.
