i will often bark about how as an indie especially, a good cover is worth infinitely more marketing dollars than straight ads imo. it's the first thing people see and a good looking cover often can convince people to look on its own. i know when i do in-person events my cover draws people in!

Do we rely on human ingenuity and remember the technological advances we thought would cripple us but (sort of) didn't? The alternative is just to give up, which often sounds attractive but won't help this planet and the wonderful species that thrive within it.

It really depends on what sort of academia we want. If we want a responsible and trustworthy academia, we need to make sure that human researchers are the only responsible and accountable agents
