As far as audience listening habits... Yeah, I don't think furries are much more inclined than general audiences to explore genres. It's just the nature of modern music distro. Algorithms bias most audiences to gravitate towards a few popular artists, even if there is niche but quality work nearby.

I think those discussions can extend far past a raw release date. I think it's reasonable to say "following a major release" could be up to a year following. Most of the discussions I've seen as of recently revolve primarily around the success of Horse Club which released back in the spring!

furry music is getting a lot more attention as the fandom grows bigger. it does come with unwanted attention, but we make sure to remind audiences what furry stands for! at this point "ass music" is a running joke in furry music collectives, and we see suggestive art as a good filter for audiences!
