some to understand some to move past some to absorb and take in and realize that it did not come from those experiences, but was simply. affected by them others to just, be able to experience in an abstracted way and be able to make it thru without cptsd symptoms. id be a lot worse off.

as a csa victim, i will be entirely real; art like this. helped. a lot. it it wouldve been nice to have had that kind of thing not happen but it did. and just seeing reflections of it especially so in fiction helped. with certain feelings i had, growing up

Especially to the victims of said power dynamics, it makes the experience real and valid in a sense; and even if theoretically nobody in the world found any kind of reason to engage in those forms of art, isn't it tyrannical and isolating for a whole subject to be deemed untouchable by the media?
