If you remember Big Short, credit default swaps were one of the *mechanisms* for the 2008 crash to spread far beyond the institutions issuing bad debt (the *causes* were of course capitalists & their protectors). Well guess what, AI toxic debt is now packaged as CDOs & your pension has bought loads.
