Is it not also true that Israel should not have nuclear weapons (which they do, without being party to the NPT regime) and Iran has a right to defend itself?

No one should have nuclear weapons. Least of all Israel

Now there's a false equivalent if ever I heard one. How does 'no-one' equate to bigging up North Korea? But while we are talking about North Korea: Yes it's an awful place with dreadful human rights - but it is not engaged in genocide and ethnic cleansing which you appear to support.

Is Israel the only country that has the right to defend? I am very confused. They attack first, and then the friends shout they have the right to defend.

Probably Israel shouldn't have started bombing Iran for no particular reason then. But then again, who else is there left for Israel to bomb? By the way, the rockets Israel used to intercept any missiles are American, not Israeli.
