yeah, from the high level design and thinking, to a large count of the low level decisions taken about the flows of data and representations. Of course, there is a lot of overhead and "non-art" in it, but there is also a large artistic component to it.

In that it requires creative input yes, in that using an llm for it is similar to actual artistic creation like music/visual art no. with the latter the creativity *is* the product, and simply making an ai do that part kinda misses what its supposed to deliver. the former is a product in of itself

yes totally, the problem solving and all the small decisions needed are creative work and everyone has their own way to solve the problem based on their experience, biases and whatnot. i wouldn't be working in dev if it wasn't a creative activity in the first place.
