Then it's the role of leadership to explain how rights work. Rights are not conditional. Period! People don't get to pick and choose who gets what rights. Those that think they do have a foundationally degraded understanding of rights. This is the damage reactionaries are doing!

Which rights are you willing to sacrifice in this election? Which ones are you volunteering? The Labour Party in the UK has MPs saying trans people should be banned from hospitals because it might offend some people to see us. This is where the democrats are headed, if we support this.

nobody did that. not a single politician ran on pushing back against sports bans. you made that up. it wasn't a major factor in ant race. turning against trans people however is a major loser for democrats.
