Not sure about sentencing but I've proposed this before for bill sunsetting; every law expires after N days, unless repassed, which delays the need for the next repass to 2N. After a few times murder stays illegal for ages but random panic and regulatory detritus fades away. Non-CS people hate it.

he also blocked me, probably to avoid the trivial screenshot quote tweet re-attach. overall this is a good platform default behavior for tumblr diaries but not really for sharing journalism, articles, and political speech
