It's been decades since i watched this. Four decades probably. Saw it when i was in my teens and definitely too immature to understand it, even tho i liked it then. This piece makes me think i should revisit it.

The absolute irony of story #1 is that it’s not even ‘Ai’, it’s just a straight up programmatic matching algorithm that dating apps have been using for yonks. These companies and startups are so eager for relevancy and news coverage that they slap ‘Ai’ on everything.
