Five years ago, I signed a piece of legislation into law making California the FIRST state in the nation to guarantee free school meals for ALL public school students. Today, nearly 3.5 billion school meals have been served, creating healthier, more resilient families and kids.

#AB353, my bill on Affordable Home Internet, passed out of Assembly Communications & Conveyance! Broadband affordability is not an urban versus rural issue, nor does it have to be a partisan issue. We all should agree that broadband is an essential service that must be affordable for all.
