It should be possible to take time out of a training programme, and then rejoin. Flexibility would benefit individuals & workforce, and therefore patients too. Doctors are human too, and 'life' happens to doctors too. Healthcare - and medicine in particular - is way behind other industries in this.

Today feels like a big day! I had my final Oncology appointment this morning, and that's me now signed off with just annual review from now on. A six month journey with breast cancer, which has gone at times very quickly and at other times very slowly. Short (grateful) thread. 1/n
