I had to explain to my son that we used to have to go the store to buy music. And that the only store in town that sold music was the Walmart. And that Walmart wouldn’t sell music with curse words, so you had to drive to the big city to buy music with naughty words. I feel ancient now.

We are the self declared successor state. Which is why Russia, not Ukrainians & Belarusians, beat the Nazis. So for that, we are USSR. But when it comes to soviet crimes, we are not the USSR. Think of it as the Soviet Schroedinger's Union.
