Not surprising to see this for anyone who has worked on them but…good lord what a mess lol. And this is mostly just sampling Europe and Costa Rica, the huge Australian fauna hasn’t even been started on in these phylogenies. 🧪

Two weeks in Arequipa and I'm loving it. I broke my personal record for recording a butterfly, a Phulia coropunae, at 4,988 m on the highest volcano in Peru, the Coropuna. Great company too (Chris Wheat joined us a few days ago) and breathtaking landscapes
