"Cyst", "lesion", "heterogeneity", "homogeniety", "Doppler", "avascular", "hypoechoic", "hyperchoic", "posterior acoustic enhancement", "posterior acoustic shadowing", "poorly delineated" and other terms in sonography, sound concerning, but aren't necessarily so. They're descriptors, only.
Show PostAlso, each imaging modality has strengths and weaknesses, and each modality may require correlation of findings against patient presentation, surgical and medical history and alternative test that could be different scans. The clinical question if there is one, will inform the report.
