A nice distraction on Crossland's lake was watching 4 Redshank & 'hanging on' Dunlin returning to the lake after on the many 'dreads' (understandable) as a Peregrine was about in the East Holm oaks

Probably a two or three a month visitor, today was that day on Crossland's lake with a brief visit from a Great white egret. A very quick circle around, brief landing & then away it went to the west

Wednesday, On Crossland's lake, 100+ Golden plovers visited, with 4 Ringed plovers doing the same. Also here was the juvenile Pectoral sandpiper, 2 Redshank (one also on the Island lake) & 2 Ruffs (an adult & juvenile also seen on the North field), Also seen 5 Bearded tits flew in from the west,
