So. Legally? NO difference between 8 and 15 (unless 8 triggers some sort of “oh dear god WTF” enhancement—and even then, it’s just abt the DEGREE OF illegality). It’s a deplorable defense that doesn’t even work on its own terms, showing what pathetic stretches minimizers have to reach for.
