TL;DR we'd probably do better if we removed conflict and hierarchies from research and policymaking and recognised real world problems need meaningful, accessible solutions and different professions have their respective ways to approach this. So crossovers and compromises are needed.

For a lot of policymakers in senior roles there's a huge issue around confidence and exposure. Nobody wants to feel small or silly, or have others notice they can't understand what's in a 2 page summary of a basic study. We don't account for this at all, a lot of care and kindness is missing.
