so when she says “i was assaulted for reporting on the unite the right rally,” she’s allowing you to assume she got injured while bravely reporting on nazis when in reality she got shoved by a local kid who was terrified, traumatized, & trying to protect the dignity of an injured counter protester

people asked her to stop filming the victims because they were having their bloody clothes cut off by the medics trying to save their lives. she felt it was her right as a journalist to film that. the crowd disagreed.

i just happen to have seen every existing moment of footage of that weekend many times over. i’d never seen the original reporting on her version of events until AFTER i saw the footage of her trying to get a cop to take her statement feet away from the mass casualty incident.
