I happen to be married to a cat gentleman, so as a cheap shot it goes wide. Also, if you're a female non-smoker, you've got a good chance of dying alone either way, it's just a question of whether they put "widowed" or "single" on the death certificate.

I'm a single guy with cats and have had people legitimately see it as a red flag when out on dates that I'm a single man with cats. Which is remarkable because like... They're just pets? They're my responsibility and my little buddies. Not gonna get shamed for loving my girls. Cat tax:

Has any woman who has a cat(s) ever actually felt insulted by some random dude calling her a "cat lady"? It's a pet, my guy. You can't hurt my feelings by accusing me of liking cats (or dogs). It's like trying to mock me for liking flowers or chocolate or kindness. They're all objectively good.
