I’m not “mad” at her. I’m appalled by the hypocrisy of yet another right winger who claims to be supporting democracy while she sings the praises of a dictator in another country. Also, here’s the real reason why she’s supporting Trump. One word: Oil Trump has wanted Venezuelan oil since 1.0.
Show PostOh, Maduro is a vicious tyrant who is doing terrible things to his people. But I can both applaud what Machado is trying to achieve in her country while also questioning her motives and methods. And I’m no poly sci major, but it just seems two-faced to fight one dictator while lauding another.
Show PostOh, I’d say the Nobel Committee gave Trump quite the consolation prize. Maria Corina Machado is a Trump fan who’s actively soliciting him for a regime change AND loves that he’s randomly bombing Venezuelan boats.
